6061 Aluminum plate basic introduction:

The difference between the state of T6 and T651 of 6061 aluminum plate is that under normal circumstances, the internal stress of T6 will be relatively large, and the processing will be deformed. The most suitable state for processing should be T651. It is stretched on the basis of T6 to eliminate internal stress 6061. The main alloying elements of aluminum alloys are magnesium and silicon, and form a Mg2Si phase. If it contains a certain amount of manganese and chromium, it can neutralize the bad effect of iron; sometimes a small amount of copper or zinc is added to increase the strength of the alloy without significantly reducing the corrosion resistance; there is still a small amount in the conductive material. Copper to offset the adverse effects of titanium and iron on conductivity; zirconium or titanium can refine grains and control recrystallized structure; in order to improve machinability, lead and antimony can be added. The Mg2Si is solid-dissolved in aluminum, which gives the alloy an artificial age hardening function. Aluminum 6061 has excellent processing properties, good corrosion resistance, high toughness, no deformation after processing, easy color film, and excellent oxidation effect.

It is an Al-Mg-Si alloy with medium strength, good plasticity and excellent corrosion resistance. In particular, it has a tendency to be free from stress corrosion cracking, has excellent weldability, good corrosion resistance and cold workability, and is a promising alloy with a wide range of applications. It can be anodized and colored, or it can be painted on the enamel, suitable for building decoration materials. It contains a small amount of Cu, so the strength is higher than 6063, but the quenching sensitivity is also higher than 6063. After quenching, wind quenching cannot be achieved, and re-solution treatment and quenching aging are required to obtain higher strength.
